Accountability

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Resistance is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of mature Christian men, each bearing a testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a personal witness consistent with the Biblical requirements given in (1Tim. 3:1-16) and (Titus 1:1-16).  Furthermore, each member of the Board has demonstrated an anointing to teach and to do the work of an evangelist in the course of his own personal ministry.

The Board and Officers serve the ministry by guarding the teaching, setting ministry goals and objectives, and managing ministry resources - all done under the direction of the Lord and the counsel of His Spirit.

All Board members serve without compensation, in humble submission to the Lord's instructions in (Luke 17:10)

Gary deeply believes in the early church of Acts to encourage what refers church as a springboard, studying the word of God but not to become to comfortable. Seek what the Lord has planned for you and go forth, encouraging through the Holy Spirit, Disciples, to go out and spread the good news of Jesus Christ.

Todd Brown
Director/Teaching and Biblical Studies
Todd came to Christ over 30 years ago. His faith developed over time, to include some rocky, desert portions. God, however, was always faithful in his life.

God began a mighty work in Todd's life after his first wife, Susan, passed away due to a rare form of leukemia in the summer of 2003.

After Sue's death, Todd struggled to find meaning and devoted himself to the study of the book of Job. It was during this walk through the Valley of the Shadow of Death, that Todd truly began to understand God's purpose and His sovereignty. Although he understood and sympathized with Job's request to argue his case before God
(Job 23:1-17), Todd also came to understand God's awesome will, and tender mercy.

The Lord brought Shelley into Todd's life in late 2006 and as a Godly woman she came along-side and encouraged him to develop the gifts God gave him. Todd began searching and studying scripture earnestly at that time, devoting much time to understanding the truths of God's word
(1 Tim. 4:13). The Holy Spirit also burden Todd's heart regarding the Biblical illiteracy that is plaguing the church today. Todd's mission is to re-ignite the passion for scripture that is lacking in many believers (Hebrews 5:11-14).

Todd serves not only as a director, but also as a teacher at various functions, leading Bible study, and providing vision and direction to The Resistance. He continues to pursue God through His word and constantly looks for ways to support local churches and ultimately expand the Kingdom.

Adam Michel
Director/Youth Ministries and Church Outreach
Adam Michel had a “Damascus Road” experience like the apostle Paul in the summer of 2009. Adam grew up as a Catholic, attending church weekly throughout his youth. Having been raised in the Catholic church, Adam knew about God and Jesus, but he had no understanding of salvation by faith in Christ alone and was unsaved.

Catholicism taught Adam a works-based (false) gospel, and even though Adam recognized he was sinful, he could not break free of sin by his own power.  Like all unbelievers, Adam was incapable of pleasing God through his works.  Thankfully, the God Who is rich in mercy brought Adam out of the darkness and into Christ's marvelous light. Adam became a believer in his mid 20s.

In the end, God graciously placed Adam at a Bible study where he first heard God’s word preached. Though he had heard the Bible read aloud before, only now did Adam have "ears to hear," and so he came to believe the Bible and was born again through faith in Jesus Christ.

Adam received a water baptism with his brother on Easter 2011, and has grown in Christ ever since, as the Lord works in him to serve primarily in outreach ministries. As all Christians, Adam desires to serve and please His Lord from a grateful and passionate heart, not out of guilt or shame. Adam is thankful that the Lord has called him to serve through his role in the Resistance.
